LAURA: What is God really like?  That’s the most important thing you’re ever going to know.

People say crazy things about God. They’ll claim that he “allowed” sickness to teach them a lesson. That seems strange to me, since one of his names means: “I AM HEALER.” They’ll claim that God sent a hurricane to punish a city – but Jesus stilled every storm he was in.
It’s like the party game, “Gossip.” When we don’t understand things, we invent explanations for them. Our ideas can get further and further from the truth, and we don’t realize it. But that kind of misinformation spreads like wildfire, and it destroys everything in its path.
It's time to set the record straight: God isn’t like that. Set aside the ugly rumors and discover the real truth about the One who made you. He will help you, and heal you, and sustain you.

The Bible is remarkably consistent at declaring who God is. Its eyewitness accounts keep telling us the same things, over and over.
